PROLOGUE
"I knew it! I flipping told you didn't I?" Ino exclaimed in excitement for her best friend. "You fucking did it!"
Sakura stared long and hard at the white piece of paper taped to the notice board. Right at the very top was her name. Juliet – Sakura Haruno.
"And look who got Romeo~!" Ino sang, her manicured nail stabbing the sheet. "Itachi Fucking Uchiha!"
The two girls giddily squealed and joined hands to jump around in circles near the board, drawing some curious and slightly disturbed looks their way.
"I can't believe it…" whispered Sakura. "I thought I wasn't going to get the part and instead…instead Karin would." She uttered the name with venom dripping from every letter, her mood darkening slightly as her emerald eyes took on a hazy look as she glared off in to space.
"Ah, but she didn't," Ino stated triumphantly. "She got…" she trailed off as her finger travelled down the cast list. "She got – hang on, there's me! I got the Nurse! Wow!"
"That's brilliant!" Sakura exclaimed, her eyes shining with pure happiness. "We'll be in the same scenes!"
"But hang on a minute…" Ino frowned in confusion, her eye brows knitted together. "She's not even on the list…"
"I don't understand…" said Sakura. "Isn't Karin in it?"
"Karin," said a voice from behind the two confused teenagers, "will be Assistant Director."
